Five PTx™ modes
Depending on your goals, red light therapy can be incorporated into your wellness routine to support recovery, everyday comfort, circulation, healthy-looking skin, and overall wellness.
The Dahlia Pinnacle Bed offers five PTx™ modes—Pain, Recovery, Weight Loss, Skin, and Circulation—each using a different combination of wavelengths and intensities.

What makes a device therapeutic
Power
Power determines how much therapeutic light energy actually reaches your cells. If the irradiance is too low, insufficient light penetrates the tissue to trigger the biological processes associated with photobiomodulation.
Wavelength
Not all red light is created equal. Therapeutic photobiomodulation relies on specific wavelengths that are absorbed by the mitochondria to support ATP production. If the wrong wavelengths are used, the light may not effectively reach the target tissue or stimulate a meaningful cellular response.
Dose
More light isn't always better. Photobiomodulation follows the Arndt-Schulz (biphasic dose) law, meaning both too little and too much light can reduce the cellular response. Delivering the correct dose is essential for optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Penetration
The depth light reaches depends on wavelength, power, beam angle, and treatment distance. Without adequate penetration, the light may only affect the skin's surface instead of deeper muscles, joints, nerves, and connective tissues.
Consistency
Healing is cumulative. Research shows that consistent treatments produce greater cellular adaptation over time, while treatments that are too infrequent may not provide enough stimulation for lasting results.
Engineering
Therapeutic photobiomodulation requires far more than LEDs that glow red. The right wavelengths, power density, dosage, treatment distance, and device engineering must work together—otherwise, a device may emit visible red light without delivering meaningful therapeutic effects.
